A chatterbox at heart, Q'uille will strike up a conversation with anyone in a 20-foot radius. He loves talking to others about anything and everything under the sun—particularly if it can lead to him helping them somehow. Optimism combined with stubbornness ensures he will find a way to help.Although he works hard, Q'uille still knows when to take a break. He tends to take naps in sunny spots on a somewhat regular basis, and he's always one to "stop and smell the roses." His adventures are as much meant to earn Gil as they are to enjoy the world around him.Naturally playful, Q'uille isn't one to shy away from friendships; he seems to make a point of attempting to befriend everyone he meets. Despite this, if someone earns his distaste, they will have it seemingly forever.

Q'uille prefers to end altercations diplomatically, but if he needs to fight, his lackadaisical personality disappears entirely. Ruthless and cutthroat, he fights with a mercenary silence. He seeks to end any fight as soon as possible, without pulling his punches. He fights with a desperation and a speed that resembles scuffles in back alleys over mere scraps of food.When troubled, Q'uille falls similarly silent. He withdraws into himself and initiates less conversations. He shares what's wrong only when asked, but even then, he downplays the issue and attempts to find a silver lining himself.

Q'uille grew up on the streets of Limsa Lominsa with only his mother. Guided by the thieves and pirates common to the city, he helped her financially through any means necessary. This culminated in him as a young teenager attempting to pickpocket a Storm Lieutenant.When she caught him, the Lieutenant took Q'uille under her wing. Under the pretense of turning him in unless he did as she said, she put a lance in his hand and forced him to learn to fight, that he might have a better life than cutpursing.

After a couple years of training, Q'uille left for Gridania to join the Lancers' Guild. Once he managed to make a name for himself, he started to send his mother monthly sums of Gil to help her out.After the Calamity, Q'uille retired and returned home, overcome with grief. With his savings, he bought an apartment for himself and his mother to share. He found work as a laborer at the docks, but it was only a year before the call to adventure seduced him again.He travels all over Eorzea (and occasionally Doma), doing whatever he can to help those he encounters. And earn a few Gil along the way, of course.

..I... "need help with somethin'?".. Q'uille has earned a minor reputation of being willing to drop whatever he's doing to help anyone who asks. While he will prioritize jobs that pay over ones that don't, he'll still at least consider helping you in whatever capacity you need. It never hurts to ask!..II... "i've seen ye afore. right?".. Well-traveled and talkative, Q'uille sometimes feels like he's met everyone in Eorzea twice over. It's possible that you've seen him somewhere else before, or even that he helped you with a problem before now. Whatever the case, he'll always say hi to a familiar face...III... "i'm no seadog, but....".. If you spend a lot of time around Limsa Lominsa, you might recognize Q'uille. This could be from his childhood when he started down the path of roguehood, or from his infrequent visits to the city in his adulthood. You may even know of him from his mother—she tends to talk him up to anyone who will listen.
